Description
Innovators must be more versatile than ever in explaining their products and concepts to different groups. Consider the differences between going to a trade show, discussing design changes with a manufacturer, and pitching your concept to investors. The same subject is at the center, but each of these interactions takes on a completely different quality. In this workshop, we will enjoy an interactive dialogue centered around stories – some personal and others involving well-known innovators. What will you learn from this dialogue that will help you craft your innovation story? And what might you contribute to it that will help another in doing so? Those attending will benefit by: Taking a look at the innovation path where your story is unfolding: Discussing the 5 rules of communicating; understanding the different communication styles among those you are trying to reachPracticing the art of telling your story with fewer wordsLearning how to frame messages so that you and your ideas are rememberedMore about Steve: As a registered patent attorney with Wyatt Tarrant & Combs, Stephen (Steve) Hall’s primaryfocus involves creating patents for clients and drafting contracts around their technologyHis mission to help clients develop and deliver audience-centered messages to drive their innovations forward is one reason why clients refer to him as a valued strategic partner. From lab to law firm, a unique story: Steve worked as an R&D chemist after college and later became a lawyer to use his science background in the legal field.Steve has spent three decades working with scientists, physicians, and innovators as a litigator and as a patent attorney.Relationships: Connection is another area of Steve’s professional strengths.
