Bird Friend is a band from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Originally a vehicle for the songwriting and storytelling of Geoff Himsel, the group has grown to include the talents of guitarist Andrew Eckel and vocalist Carson Kennedy, alongside a host of collaborators. Rooted in folk and DIY, Bird Friend's music also incorporates elements of country, punk, psychedelia, and spoken word - touching on themes of displacement and decay, change, loss, and unease in the modern age.
