Editing “Can Your Reader Follow Your Story Line?” with Julia Dorman Fisher, PhD., 10 am -12 noon, and "Developmental Editing and Line Editing," with inspirational romance novelist Hope Toler Dougherty, 2 pm - 4 pm Dr. Julia Fisher is an editor with 35 years of experience helping writers and speakers to craft their communications. Specializing in psycholinguistics, Julia uses that experience to address the mechanics of word choice, sentence and paragraph construction, and their impact on the overall structure, to assure that authors successfully convey their message. Hope Toler Dougherty holds a Master’s degree in English and taught at East Carolina University and York Technical College. Her novels include Irish Encounter, Rescued Hearts, and the Forever Series including Forever Music and Forever Home. Her novella, "A Hatteras Surprise," was included in Candy Cane Wishes and Saltwater Dreams. She and her husband delight in visits with their daughters and twin sons. An introverted Christian Romance author, Hope loves family, traveling, reading, live music, cooking, crocheting, public speaking, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Jesus. Not in that order. Her skills include changing the oil in a 1974 Mustang, playing the dulcimer, and soloing a Cessna 150.
