Topic: Listen and Learn: A Transracial Adoptee Tell His Story
Come listen and learn from transracial adoptee, Revi Williams, as he shares his story of adoption.
Speaker: Revi Williams
Revi was born to a white, single mother and a black father. As a bi-racial child in the Midwest, before that became commonplace, his early life appeared destined for hardship and heartache. However, God had a greater plan, in the form of a young, white couple with three kids of their own, who lived down the street from Revi’s maternal grandparents. This couple adopted him at the age of 3 and raised him as their own.
After moving to Atlanta to be with his new wife, Revi practiced law for nearly ten years. Eventually, he felt led to change careers, and currently teaches computer science. When he is not teaching, Revi enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, snow sports, coaching baseball, and attending his teen daughter’s and pre-teen son’s sporting events. He and his family are active in their local church and love traveling. Revi also enjoys sharing his journey with others, in the hopes that he can be an encouragement to those who are already on or considering the path to adoption.
