Free Event - Part of the Palm Beach County Natural Areas Festival12:00pm start time. There are 20 slots available, 10 of which are available for early registration now via Eventbrite and another 10 which will be available at the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Wildflower Planting – Let’s plant a wildflower garden at the natural area. This wildflower planting focuses on some of the important native plants that thrive in shade areas and are naturally occurring in natural habitats. Each plant will be introduced by Master Gardener CJ McCartney. All supplies and plants will be provided - just show up and be prepared to get your hands dirty and leave a lasting legacy of your efforts. Three of the plants we are planting: Blue Curls, Trichostema dichotomum, Rouge Berry, Rivina humilis and Twin Flower, Dyschoriste oblongifolia (in order) Please bring water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) and bug spray. This event is part of our Natural Areas Festival on Saturday, March 4th. Visit pbcnaturalareas.com/festival for more info. Please no bikes or pets at the Festival.
