A pysanka is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, "to write" or "to inscribe", as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Learn the history of this Easter egg folk art and try your hand at writing a Pysanky Egg! We will provide all eggs and supplies, as well as a few kits for purchase.
The class will run from 1:00PM-4:00PM. Be sure to set aside 2-4 hours of your day, as these eggs can take a while to create!
