Description

Your children will learn to cook and serve an entire dinner for their family…including cleanup! Is your child excited about food and cooking? Ready for a fun, enriching class where your child learns a bit of cooking AND a bit of hosting? Join us for a 2 hour family dinner workshop! In this workshop, your child will have the opportunity to cook and serve dinner to your whole family. Together with 8 sous chefs, we will be preparing the following from 4:30-6:30pm: Baked Cream Cheese WontonsRainbow Peanut Noodles* Rainbow Fruit “Pizzas” for dessert!***Sauce made with peanuts. Contact us to discuss allergy-friendly alternatives) **Sugar cookie base is nut-free and egg-free At 6:30pm, we’re inviting families to come and dine with us! Come sit at the table your tiny host has set, and enjoy (with them!) the food they worked so hard to prepare. After we’re done eating, we’ll have our sous chefs help with clean up. Children will be helping clean up from 7-7:30pm, families are welcome to stay during this time (bring a deck of cards or a game, if you’d like!) The official end time of this event is 7:30pm. This class is extra special and we can’t wait to host it. Given the logistics, we only have room for 8 children and their families for Family Dinner. We hope your sous chef gains a love of cooking, and leaves inspired to cook and host at home! This workshop is open to children ages 5-12. What we believe about having kids in the kitchen: Kids are always eager to get in the kitchen for two reasons: one, the end result is FOOD and two, YOU are there. Learning to cook together not only provides an opportunity to spend time together, it builds self-confidence, it teaches sequencing and turn-taking, it encourages picky eaters to try new foods, it improves executive functioning skills, and it promotes healthier eating. Simply put, learning to cook is an essential life skill. “Cooking with kids is not just about ingredients, recipes, and cooking. It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment, and creativity.” – Guy Fieri (Award-winning chef and restaurateur)
