Growing Healthy Children is a free event offered to children and their families residing in Chico and the surrounding communities. Free T-shirts are given to the first 300 children who pre-register and pick up their race day packets. On race day, the event features the choice of a Family 1 mile or 5K walk/run course. Following the run, community health organizations host interactive health, nutrition, and physical activity themed booths.
