We’re going to run through some script basics. From how to use them all the way up to creating new letter forms, swashes, shadows, and highlights. This will give you a general set of ground rules to begin. We'll explore the process of setting up a few simple to more complicated lockups. This is a two-part workshop. The first week is a walk through with time to ask some questions. You will have a week to go on your own and play with some type. The second week we will take a look at what you have made, and I’ll give you some pointers about how to improve your type game.
*Please Note: This is a two-part workshop that will meet twice at the same time and location. Please be sure you are available to attend both Part 1 on Feb 27th and Part 2 on Mar 6th when claiming your ticket.
About Stephan:
Currently a Freelance Designer, Stephan has worked on many brands including Whataburger, Costa, Frost, and many more at a slew of agencies (most notably McGarrah Jessee.) Stephan loves type and most of all he loves using scripts. At one point he was given the terrible nickname “Scripty” by a CEO while in a client meeting. He loves to catalog and find new resources for type constantly. Stephan is also a Texas State grad and loves the great outdoors, playing & recording music, gaming, and garage sales (because he’s old now).
