Terrace Hill has received funding from Humanities Iowa to host a free, educational presentation entitled American Dreamer: The Life and Times of Henry A. Wallace. Join us Monday, March 13 at 5:00 pm in the Terrace Hill Drawing Room for this one-man show presented by Iowa actor, Tom Milligan.
Based on the award-winning book of the same name , Milligan portrays Henry A. Wallace, the agricultural innovator and founder of Pioneer Hi-Bred seed corn company who became US Secretary of Agriculture and later Vice President under Franklin Roosevelt. Admired by many and later branded as a Socialist during his controversial 1948 campaign for the presidency, Wallace always held out a vision for the future.
This is a free program, but advance registration is required as space is limited. Please register through Eventbrite or contact Claire Sowder, Terrace Hill Communications & Event Coordinator, at 515-281-7205 to make a reservation.
