We're kicking off Women's History Month for a special WW First Wednesdays "Meet & Share" with the Tallahassee-Leon County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls. Come meet your CSWG Commissioners and share what’s important to you to help further the mission of the CSWG. The CSWG wants your opinions to collaborate on their important work. Following an introduction, we’ll break into multiple groups so you can share “your status” and insights on how we can together improve oppHERtunity in Tallahassee and Leon County.
About CSWG: The Tallahassee-Leon County Commission on the Status of Women & Girls is a citizens advisory committee that was created by and advises the city and county commissioners of Tallahassee and Leon County. Their mission is to regularly assess gender equity and measure the wellbeing of women and girls locally. This research-oriented commission of 21 women provides leadership, policy and program development, education, outreach and collaboration, advocacy, and strategic partnerships to advance the status of the women and girls of our community in the following focus areas: (1) Health & Development, (2) Violence & Safety, (3) Education, (4) Employment & Earnings, (5) Economic Security, and (6) Political Equity.
