Please join Detroit's Office of Arts, Culture and Entrepreneurship and the city's Black-owned and operated arts and cultural spaces for a festive reception honoring Sacred Spaces - a month-long initiative celebrating and cross-promoting more than 15 cultural spaces across the city. From February 1-28, 2023, partnering venues will host exhibitions, film screenings, artist talks, workshops, performances and panel discussions showcasing the expansive talent of our city and the positive and meaningful contributions of African Americans across time. Metro Detroit residents are invited to self-tour these "sacred spaces" and experience creative and powerful art by more than 100 African-American artists. Sacred Spaces will conclude with a closing reception on February 28 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History designed to inspire reflection, discussion and appreciation. Please enjoy this evening with us!
