Sourdough isn’t just for bread! In this course you'll learn how to make a flaky, buttery puff pastry that is as delicious as it is beautiful. You can make easily digestible, delicious sourdough pastries more easily than you might think! With this fundamental class you can easily move on to sourdough croissants and more, or stick to this wonderful, easy, and impressive-tasting recipe. Participants will leave with their own pastry dough to finish at home, and we will eat one we’ve baked together. The professor will also have extra sourdough starter for participants to take home, if they’d like.
Professor(s) or Facilitator(s): Jamaica Kelley
Jamaica is a former New York nanny who turned to sourdough baking during the pandemic to survive the stress of being trapped with her employers! No longer trapped, sourdough baking still brings her peace when things get chaotic, and she loves experimenting with baking the most challenging pastries and baked goods using sourdough.
