Description
What's the best way to roast a chicken? How do you make pasta from scratch? How do professional chefs create food for tasting menus, and how do they cook at home for their families? This course will be an open forum for discussing all things sweet and savory. Let's talk about cooking. What's your culinary background? Where could you use some help? Want to perfect your techniques or add to your knowledge? Whether you have zero cooking experience and are looking to build some kitchen confidence or you've been doing the hard work of cooking for your family for years, you are welcome in this class. The instructor will answer questions, offer ideas, and provide practical tips and tricks to make your cooking more flavorful and more enjoyable. Professor(s) or Facilitator(s): Brandon Hamilton, Sous Chef at Twin Farms Resort & Spa Brandon has been in the restaurant industry since 2007. He started as a dishwasher but his curiosity for culinary knowledge led him into his current position as a sous chef at Twin Farms in Barnard, VT. Brandon has a deep passion for cooking and sharing what he's learned to help others become more confident in the kitchen. Find him cooking on Instagram at @chefbrandonhamilton. Session Type: Discussion Restrictions or Requirements: Course open to teenagers & above (exceptions will be made for passionate youth). Any participants under age 16 must have a parent or chaperone present for the session.No cooking experience is requiredMaterials or Prep: We encourage you to bring some cooking questions and come ready to have fun talking about food!
