Julia Johnson Inaugural Golf TournamentMarch 13, 2023 • Oak Wing Golf and Country Club, Alexandria • 8:00 AM Shotgun start Tournament Rules and GuidelinesThe USGA Rules of Golf will be followed but the following exceptions will be allowed: 1. 4-person teams may comprise any combination of men and women. 2. There will be a shotgun start with teams assigned to starting holes by the tournament organizers. Men shall use the BLUE tees, Woman shall use the RED tees. 3. Mulligans shall be allowed at any time during the round. Teams may purchase up to FOUR mulligans in advance of the round. Use of the mulligans will be on the honor system but must be marked on the scorecard. Purchase price is $10 per mulligan, paid in advance of the round. However, on Hole #10, a team may use one of its four allotted mulligans to invite Miss Johnson to hit from the men’s tee for an additional $10. She may hit only ONE shot per team from the #10 Tee. 4. If two or more winning teams are TIED at the conclusion of 18 holes, a one-hole playoff on Hole #18 will determine the winner of the tournament. Each lowest-round team shall select ONE team member to play in the playoff. If the playoff golfers are still tied after the playoff hole, the winner of the cash prize will be determined by either 1) between two teams, a coin flip (heads wins); or 2) cutting a deck of cards (highest card wins). In this case all cards will be reshuffled after each cut. 5. No mulligans may be used in a playoff. Tournament marshals will supervise playoff play and determine the legality of each shot. 6. The only cash prize is for the Tournament-winning Team. Other prizes are to be determined, but will consist of either pro shop merchandise, gift cards or rounds of golf at Oak Wing.
