ATTIRE: Black Tie Optional, Western Wear Encouraged. Basically, dress formally, and add a little western flare (boots, hats, belts, bolo ties, etc) to your outfit if you like. Check out the SBA instagram stories (@ut_sba) this week for outfit inspo. TICKET INFO: Tickets will go on sale Friday, February 10th, at noon on Eventbrite, and will be sold at a flat rate of $50 per person. (Please note this is *less* than last year… ask not what your SBA can do for you). You will receive an email with the link to purchase on Friday. Tickets are available on a First-Come, First-Serve basis. Once tickets have been exhausted, no additional capacity will be added. Your ticket includes admission for 1, Heavy Hors d'oeuvres Buffet, Two Full Bar Drink Tickets, 360 Photo Booth & Keepsake Photo Printing Booth, Live DJ & great music, and priceless memories with your peers. There will be a cash bar option to purchase additional drinks once you have exhausted your drink tickets. PLUS ONE INFO: Each Texas Law Student is permitted to bring ONE guest. Plus one tickets may be purchased on Eventbrite simultaneously with student tickets. UT Law Students purchasing tickets for a plus one must use their own UT EID when purchasing the ticket on Eventbrite. OTHER GENERAL INFO: Law Prom will take place in the Zlotnik Family Ballroom at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, located at 1900 University Ave. Event check-in will begin at 8pm and conclude at 10pm. Please arrive in this window of time! FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: As an organization, SBA feels strongly that no lawhorn should miss this special evening due to their financial situation. At the request of SBA, the Student Affairs Office will be subsidizing tickets on a case by case basis. Students experiencing financial strain can reach out to Dean Bangs ([email protected]) to discuss their situation confidentially. Post consultation, a single-use promo code may be sent by SAO to reduce the price. SMOKING, VAPING, AND OUTSIDE ALCOHOL: “No outside alcohol, smoking or vaping allowed in the building/ballroom or on campus. If caught, guests will be escorted out of the building. If the Zlotnik ballroom alarm is triggered by someone vaping or smoking, everyone will have to be evacuated.” This is messaging from the hotel management, but I am being for real about no vaping or outside alcohol. When they said last year that a vape set off the fire alarm, I, too, thought it was a lie. But they genuinely have security camera footage of it. If you can’t refrain from fiending for a few hours please step outside the hotel. There’s also going to be security guards checking bags when you come in, so like, just follow the rules, team.
