Earl E. Gales, Sr. Earl E. Gales, Sr., was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, adored by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. After passing away just after celebrating his 100th birthday in March 2020 of the covid pandemic, his loved ones couldn't gather in his honor to celebrate the family patriarch. A WWII Army Vet and avid golfer well into his 90s, this tournament is held to do precisely what he loved; golfing and being with friends and family. Earl E. Gales, Jr. During his career, including 41 years at the helm of JGM, Earl E. Gales, Jr. generated incredible value across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry with projects that hold a great impact on his community such as the LA Metro, LA Community College District, California’s High-Speed Rail System and countless more. This success was in part due to him fostering a company culture of comradery and teamwork, and always making time to say hi, genuinely check in, and get to know each employee. He created a family-like work environment that JGM will carry on. He’s created a lasting effect within the local community serving on several education and civic boards throughout the city. He’s also made a long-reaching influence serving as an advisor to two U.S. Presidents and Vice Presidents throughout his life, as well as authoring books and reports that will inform future generations. Mr. Gales will also forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, husband, and a truly kind and generous man. Tournament Charity All proceeds will benefit the EmpowHer Institute, a STEM non-profit empowering girls and young women in marginalized communities by giving them the skills necessary through education, training, and mentorship to become confident, college, and career-ready.
