Description

“Freemasonry: Opening The Door” A Presentation by Michael Samu Freemasonry is one the world's oldest active fraternities. Its three hundred years of documented history anchors it to the initiatory traditions of the mystery schools of antiquity, and as such, has created an atmosphere of mystery. This has, unfortunately, led to many rumors, witch-hunts and conspiracies regarding its operations and intentions. However, if one were to speak to a Mason for an evening, they would likely walk away with a much better understanding of the Craft. Please join Master Mason and Lecturer Michael Samu for “Freemasonry: Opening The Door,” to learn more about this institution and dispel common misconceptions or misunderstandings regarding its purpose and aim.  Michael Samu was born and raised in Joshua Tree, California and has been a Master Mason since 2018. He moved to Orange County in 2020 and is currently the Organist and Lecturer in residence for Whittier Masonic Lodge #323 where he heads the Masonic Study Club that focuses on curating talks on the esoteric and philosophical aspects of Masonry.   Suggested donation: $10 (in-person and Zoom option available) Please email [email protected] or phone 323-663-2167 with any questions.
