Come spend a Sunday outdoors at Nollie Pollie's Nature Camp! I am a Forest School Teacher and have been working with children for over a decade! I wanted to help make forest school more accessible for families and will be offering this mini lesson in a shortened day camp style. I absolutely love nature and helping kiddos feel connected to the earth. In addition to my passion for botany and entomology, I have a degree in Environmental Science and a Certificate in Forestry & Wild land Resources. For this lesson we will take a look at my personal pinned insect collection and lots of other nature curios. We will go on a nature walk to see what we discover, in doing so an emergent curriculum will be fostered. We will try on "bug vision" and explore insect eyes and body plans. Crafts, habitat buildings, and & much more!!! This show & tell format has been such a success in the past! The whimsical nature of my curated sets and lesson plan connections get the children so excited. They especially love the "bug vision" and using the magnifying glasses to investigate! Recommended Ages 2-9 I am huge on emergent curriculum, so the plan may also change depending on the children's interests. Parents are welcome to stay or do a drop off- just email me if you plan to leave.
