Description

Humbird—led by singer and songwriter Siri Undlin—hits the road beginning in February, at the Big Turn Music Festival with the itinerary for their Humbird Spring Tour 2023, including shows in Longmont, Colorado; Bozeman, Montana; Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; Los Angeles, California; and San Francisco, California. Humbird will perform at the 2023 Folk Alliance International February 4, as an Official Showcase Artist in addition to an array of Private Showcases hosted by invitation-only music industry organizations. The 23-date run wraps up at the spring installment of the 2023 Midwest Music Fest on May 13. Undlin will be joined on the tour at different points, by bassist Pat Keen and drummer Peter Quirsfeld, and multi-instrumentalist Adelyn Strei, all of whom played on "Still Life." Humbird will perform in various formats including duo, trio and the full band quartet on the Humbird Spring Tour 2023. The unique band arrangements emphasize Siri Undlin’s songcraft and guitar playing, both of which are essential elements of "Still Life" songs like “Pink Moon for John Prine” and “Standing in the Way.” The single track “Plum Sky” received accolades from Minnesota Public Radio’s, The Current as one of the top songs of 2022, as well as the full length album, "Still Life" coming in at The Current’s #2 Album of the Year spot. When the world's on fire and the seeds of division are sown throughout the land, music and ceremony have always held a sacred space for healing and renewal. Room Enough, Time Enough, only the second full-length solo record from singer-lyricist and folk activist David Huckfelt of The Pines, is a record about restoring balance: space and attention, peace and equality, redeeming the marginalized, and remembering the forgotten. It's a new expression of the ancient ritual and power of songs to weave a web of resilience and protection over our land, our loves, and our resistance, from a songwriter whose new solo endeavor is a present-moment plea for connection and compassion.
