Sustainable Building Week networking is too much fun to keep it once a year. We’ll supply the drinks, light snacks, and a few topics of discussion.
On February 14th, we will hear from Brad Reed of The Building Resilience campaign.
The Building Resilience campaign is a growing, statewide coalition of climate justice and public health, business and labor, faith and frontline communities, environmental, family, and youth organizations, and thousands of individual Oregonians advocating for legislative action to promote healthy, affordable, resilient homes and buildings that run on clean energy. A campaign representative will talk about policies advancing in the 2023 Oregon legislature to ensure new construction is "built smart from the start" and make it easier and more affordable to update current homes and buildings to protect us from climate harms and transition to efficient clean electricity for heating and cooling, hot water, and cooking. The campaign will prioritize helping those most harmed by climate extremes and fossil fuels while pushing for the best policies and incentives possible. Information will be available about how you can become involved!
Come down and have some fun!
All sustainability friends are invited whether you’re in design, construction, academia, government, business, manufacturing, or something else. All are welcome because it will take all of us to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
Masks are not required in the well-ventilated, often open air “decony”.
