The Farm Alliance of Baltimore invites you to an evening of dinner and dialogue in celebration of agricultural scientist, inventor, and father of regenerative farming, Dr. George Washington Carver
The dinner series is a fundraiser supporting the amazing work by the Farm Alliance of Baltimore as we build a movement in urban agriculture in Baltimore City. It will commence with an intimate, family style dinner prepared by Damian Mosley, of Blacksauce Kitchen, influenced by the same ingredients which inspired Dr. Carver’s work: peanuts, sweet potatoes and cowpeas.
Diners will also engage in a spirited discussion led by Blain Snipstal, of Black Dirt Farm Collective, about the life and legacy of Dr. Carver. Focusing on Dr. Carver's significant contributions and innovations to organic farming, Blain's discussion will highlight Dr. Carver as one of the greatest minds in American history.
Join us for a cocktail hour before dinner and enjoy a handcrafted beverage by Kris Fulton of Sophomore Coffee. (addtional charge applies).
A silent art auction will also take place; guests can bid on pieces from celebrated artist Pierre Bennu of Exit The Apple and renowned photographer I. Henry Phillips Sr.
