Topic: “Monuments Man: The Mission to Save Vermeers, Rembrandts and Da Vincis from the Nazis’ Grasp.” Speaker: Louis Rorimer. Louis will speak about his father’s recently reissued book detailing the looting and ultimate recovery of Europe’s greatest art. James J. Rorimer, the former director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, played a leading role in the art recovery unit while embedded with the U.S. Army during World War II. You are invited to wear your costumes to the Shabbat service where the Book of Esther will be read. JSC will provide a catered dinner and beverages. Hamantashen will be provided, but dessert contributions are welcome! YOU MUST RSVP BY MARCH 1 TO ATTEND THE DINNER. To be eco-responsible, please bring your own dish, silverware and wine glass.
