Nikki Ummel will also read from her hybrid book-length poem, "good body," a finalist for Blue Earth Review's 2022 Creative Nonfiction Prize. Open mic to follow. Tracey Lindeman is a longtime freelance journalist whose work has appeared in The Guardian, The Atlantic, Al Jazeera and many other publications. She is also the author of BLEED: Destroying Myths and Misogyny in Endometriosis Care, out March 21, 2023 on ECW Press — a book informed in part by her 24-year struggle to get her extreme chronic pain diagnosed and treated. She is from Montreal and is currently based in western Quebec, Canada.
Nikki Ummel is a queer writer, editor, and educator in New
Orleans. Nikki has been published or has work forthcoming in
Painted Bride Quarterly, The Adroit Journal, The Georgia Review, and others. She has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best New Poets, Best of the Net, and the CLMP Firecracker Awards. She is the 2022 winner of the Leslie McGrath Poetry Prize. Nikki is a reader for Peauxdunque Review and editor for Bear Review, as well as the co-founder of lmnl lit, an arts organization focused on readings, workshops, and residencies.
