Do you have ideas on how local journalism can better serve the Wichita community? We want to hear from you!
Who: The Wichita Beacon and Harvester Arts are partnering on a community listening session on Monday, Feb. 27 from 6-8 p.m. Staff from Harvester Arts and The Wichita Beacon will host this event.
The Wichita Beacon’s Community Engagement Bureau is a journalism lab reimagining local media. We do this by equipping people with skills and resources, engaging in critical public conversations and producing information that directly addresses people’s needs. Harvester Arts builds the creative capacity of the community through arts experimentation, public art projects, artist residencies and professional development for artists.
What: This will be a friendly and welcoming space to engage with community members, share things happening in your neighborhood and talk about our ideas for seeing journalism grow in Wichita. Snacks and refreshments provided.
Where: Harvester Arts is located in Old Town at 215 Washington N, Wichita, KS 67202.
Parking: There is limited parking right in front of Harvester Arts. Almost all of the surrounding lots are free and open to the public.
We hope to see you there!
