As of 2/10/23, we are running low on spots available. We may offer a training in April or May if you register, and we are unable to accommodate this date. This training will be in-person with 2 short breaks and a designated lunch break. You will receive a certification upon completion. Please RSVP by March 8th because there is prework included and you will be unable to register last minute. WHY USE IT? This evidence-based training will give participants the knowledge to identify mental health challenges and the confidence to respond, allowing early intervention to reduce risk of a mental health crisis. WHO CAN USE IT? MHFA can be used by anyone. The skills that are taught can be used with co-workers, family, friends, or other people in the community. Participants of the training become certified Mental Health First Aiders for three years. WHAT'S THE IMPACT? Mental Health First Aiders report improved mental wellness and an increase in approaching co-workers that display signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge. This builds a safer working environment.
