Take a Walk (Or Run) On the Wild Side! Join South Texas Health System Children's as we host our first ever Eddy's Safari Run! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us make this event successful. Our amazing, hardworking volunteers are the backbone to all our wonderful events, and we'd love to have your help! In addition to the race, the event will feature a special "Mascot Challenge" and we are inviting community organizations and businesses to have their mascot compete in friendly physical competitions. Come out and show your support while helping us raise awareness on the importance of exercise for children. Gear up for the adventure of a lifetime and get the opportunity to demonstrate your physical fitness by participating in a safari run fit for all ages! We are needing help with the following: Setting up before the event, (to include signage, award and medal display tables, etc.)Handing out medals, water, and fruitSetting up and manning the water stationDirecting runners on their routeTear down dutiesOther duties as neededVolunteer Requirements: Must complete their allotted shiftMust be at least 16 years oldInterested, but want more information?
