Description
The Fool's Total is a one-of-a-kind, individual competition combining the Olympic Weightlifting movements, Snatch & Clean & Jerk, and The CrossFit Total, Strict Press, Back Squat and Deadlift. Athletes will have 12 minutes per movement to find their max. Your max for each movement will be added up and trophies and prizes will be awarded for the top 3 finishers across age/weight divisions. There are 2 age divisions, Open and Masters (40+), and 2 weight classes Men <205 lbs./205+ lbs. and Women <145 lbs/145+ lbs. Open athletes will compete on Saturday, 5/20/23. Masters athletes will compete on Sunday, 5/21/23. *Entry fee is $85.00 and will include event T-Shirt (please select T-Shirt size at checkout via add-on) **This event will be capped at 80 athletes ***This is a fundraising event to help Janah Esquivel travel to Krakow, Poland in August 2023 for the Masters Weightlifting World Championships. Janah started her fitness journey at CrossFit New Lenox in May 2015 after at least of decade minimal fitness. After finishing 2nd (by 1 point in the scaled division of a local CrossFit competition) she felt as though she peeked as a crossfitter and moved to Olympic Weightlifting in 2018, at the age of 41. After finishing in 10th place at Masters Nationals Championships in 2019, she has finished 2nd at the Masters National Championships in 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2022, she won the Masters PanAm Championships in San Juan, Puerto Rico and the Masters World Championships in Orlando, FL. Janah lifts for Team Red Panda Strength in the 45-49 age group and 81-87 weight class. If you'd like to follow Janah's journey, you can find her on Instagram, @janahesq and @redpandastrength.
