We are a collective of chefs across the diaspora who are on an exploration of black foodways, to reclaim our ancestry and to show how food is embeded in our identity. We invite you to sit with us as we explore the idea of Home and Pan-African cuisine through this plated 7-course dining experience which honors our past while restoring our future. This pop-up will be held at the wonderful Cheeni restaurant in Raleigh. Beverages will be available for purchase at the full bar onsite including signature cocktails from Cheeni. "Wa Mi Dounou" - “Come share a meal with me” It is a polite invitation to nourish the body and the soul, through shared experiences, anecdotes and tradition. It also serves as a way to understand and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the region. We look forward to sharing a meal with you!
