The American Association of University Women of Tennessee meets annually to conduct business of the organization, including the election of officers and the receiving of reports. The annual state convention allows our 8 branches (Knoxville, Martin, Maryville, McMinnville, Memphis, Murfreesboro, Nashville, and Oak Ridge) to stay connected and collaborate with each other to fulfill the mission of their respective affiliates and thereby build a strong AAUW presence in Tennessee that promotes a better place for women and girls to work and learn. By attending the convention, our members will receive the latest information from the national and state level on priorities and strategies that can be used to strengthen their local branch. It provides the opportunity to make new friends and meet professional colleagues that value education and equal rights and who believe in taking action. Speaker: Ms. Katrina Sue Breese, Senior Director of Institutional Advancement at AAUW. Additionally, the board will meet at Mimi's Café (2625 Medical Center Pkwy, Murfreesboro) on Friday, March 24th at 6:00PM. If you wish to attend, please let us know when you register.
