Join Georgia Bikes and the Peachtree City Police Department for a presentation on bicycle and pedestrian safety. The course is open to any and all road users: cyclists, walkers, and drivers, and is worth two hours of POST credit for participating police officers. The course covers the best practices for educating bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers on the safe use of roadways. Also included is a review of O.C.G.A. sections pertinent to bicycles and pedestrians, an examination of bicycle and pedestrian facility types, an update on trends in bicycling in Georgia, information on crash reporting, an analysis of bicycle and pedestrian crash data, and strategies for improving pedestrian safety.
