This year Cumbee Center is hosting a professional training conference focused on Teen Dating Violence. We are excited to announce our in-person 2023 Be About It Conference will be held on Friday, February 24th 9:00am-12:45pm at PEACE Lutheran Church located at 202 Richland Ave W, Aiken, SC 29801. The theme is Teen Dating Violence – Engage, Educate, Empower – Taking action to empower and protect our youth against Dating Violence. Cumbee Center, along with local mental health professionals, will be addressing the following topics: What is the definition of teen dating violence? What do the statistics show? What is considered healthy vs. unhealthy behavior in relationships? How do we empower teens to help prevent dating abuse? SCCADVASA is a co-sponsoring agency.
