Hola Amigos y Amigas, We started Conversemos about 5 years ago to offer a place for those studying Spanish and native Spanish speakers to get together to improve their language skills and perhaps make some new friends. Most of our activities are rotated in members homes where we gather and practice to improve our language skills. We will be doing something different this event that we think all of you will enjoy. Melissa and Curry from Habits for Health will be cooking a healthy dinner for us. They will make an enchilada bake and we will also serve a salad. Please feel free to bring a beverage to compliment our dinner. Here is a link to their website. Habits For Health (habitsforhealthnow.com) Since they need to plan the dinner for the number of attendees we will need an accurate RSVP count. So please let us know if you plan to attend and also please be sure to let us know if you have to cancel in a reasonable amount of time so others can attend. All our attendees want to improve their language skills, including improving our Spanish and for native Spanish speakers to improve their English. So we have committed that our activities will be welcoming for everyone and not just for just learning Spanish. Our meetings will be more than just a social gathering. Our plan is to spend about the 1st 1/2 hours in a group discussion and them breakup into smaller study groups. Please consider bringing a snack or beverage of your choice. And, as always, feel free to bring a guest.
