Join AFP Arkansas as Robin Freeman shares her expertise on everything to do with fostering inclusiveness and serving diverse communities. Dr. Robin Freeman serves as the Director of the University of Arkansas CURRENTS, a nationally recognized training and consultation center, a position she has held since 2016. Under her leadership, Robin has designed and delivered a range of trainings in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging trainings and supervisory leadership for state and national vocational rehabilitation organizations and education institutes. Robin is skilled at engaging participants in difficult conversations. Her research interests include diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in the workplace and community, leadership & development, transition age youth, and poverty. She has an Ed.D. in Adult and Lifelong Learning, a Master’s in Public Administration, a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management, and a BA in Journalism. She and her colleagues provide the Diversity and Inclusive Leadership Certification training and is a certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace trainer. 8:30am: Check-in & Networking 9:00am: Session Begins Parking and location of Meeting Space: Arkansas Foodbank, 4301 West 65th Street, Little Rock. There is plenty of parking in the front parking lot. When you arrive, you will enter through the front doors and take a left into the volunteer center. Once in the volunteer breakroom, you will take another left into the conference room. There will be someone at the front to direct everyone. Covid: The foodbank building is equipped with temperature monitoring. There are cameras when you enter the building that will take your temperature and if anyone is running a temp of 100 or above, it will notify AF Staff. NOTE: There is an entrance to the conference room before you arrive at the front door, HOWEVER, you MUST go through the front doors to have your temperature checked. There are face masks and hand sanitizer in the front lobby.
