A little late fo Mardi Gras, perhaps, but the joyous spirit of Laissez Faire brings the music of New Orleans Jazz to Second Stage Amherst on February 25, 2023 for Java and Jazz. Ken Matthews on clarinet and saxophone, Greg Thomas on trumpet and valve trombone, Peter Matthews on upright bass and Tom Harbeck on guitar. Ken Mastthews, brought up in Lynchburg, was a favorite of Amherst Java and Jazz when he was living near DC and then North of Charlottesville, and we are happy to welcome him and his joyous sound back to live in Lynchburg again!
