The gala's featured guest artist will be Daryl Beebe. Born and raised in Detroit, MI, Daryl Beebe is a phenomenal and innovative saxophonist, producer, songwriter and composer. Daryl received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Kentucky State University where he majored in criminal justice and minored in music. Later, he received his Masters of Art and Masters of Education degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He has performed and recorded with artist such as Kurt Carr, Karen Clark, Teddy Harris, James Carter, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans, Vicki Winans, Tim Bowman, Martha Reeves, Doc Power and recently opened for Norman Brown. Beebe's musical performances have been described as "electrifying," "uplifting," and "awe-inspiring." He is known for his rich melodious sound on tenor saxophone and his ability to wow audiences with screaming high notes on alto. Also performing will be jazz artist Bennie J. Smith. DJ Reggie Reg will continue the vibe with entertainment. Proceeds benefit Kentucky State University Scholarships and The Brown Cancer Center.
