Description

It’s the perfect opportunity to have someone's ear. Join award-winning producer and writer Lorraine Montez to learn how to deliver a winning pitch and capture your audience's attention. Your story is your film; your pitch is your point of entry to decision-makers. Pitching is a critical skill for filmmakers, and just like your project, pitching is storytelling. Research suggests that humans categorize other individuals in less than 150 milliseconds. That means you have 15 seconds to make a great impression. Busy entertainment executives, distributors, and showrunners evaluate dozens of ideas in a week or sometimes a day. So, your pitch has to be spot on. This four-hour workshop gives you the tools to structure your pitch and ensure decision-makers are intrigued. Understand the difference between a logline and tag lineUse your logline as the hook in your pitchPitch to the right when, where, and who (the elevator pitch vs. the longer pitch)Create strategies for successful pitch meetingsAsk for money once you pitch your storyAddress questions from executives, distributors, and showrunners Identify decision-makers to pitchSenior, Veteran & Student Discounts Available!
