Description

Failure is something we don’t like to think about in our performance-driven culture, but it is ever-present, lurking beneath the surface for even the seemingly most successful among us. Many of us live our lives haunted by past failures and the guilt or shame we feel as a result. Others of us are so fearful of future failure that we’re consumed by perfectionism or the drive to work hard—or we’re frozen by inaction, unable to try new things and take meaningful risks in life. But what if true flourishing meant trying new things and taking risks, even though the outcome may not be as we had hoped? And what if it was okay to fail, and there was grace, growth, and joy to be found on the other side? Join us for an evening of stories from New City Fellows exploring the theme of failure—and the surprising grace you might just discover along the way.
