Description

BLACK in the Garden is a curated farm-to-table dinner, art and, story-sharing installation hosted by the 813 Hood Garden Space, Dee's Garden Shoppe, Water & Spice, and The Nuance Company Inc, all Black-women owned entities operating in the city of Tampa. Through art, food, music, and story-sharing, we will come together to honor local Black farmers who have paved--and, literally, mowed and hoed--the way for the emerging generation of new Black farmers and growers in Tampa Bay and beyond through their commitment to preserving and innovating agriculture, food science, land reclamation and more. We are asking all attendees to make a minimum $15 donation toward event costs, and to secure a future where we can host more events honoring Black Culture, Heritage and Gardening in the 813 Hood Garden Space. $25 donations will receive a special gift from the hosts.
