Mrs. Charlene Parsons Mrs. Parsons is responsible for countless successful fashion careers. As a leader in education for over 40 years and Fashion Director at the International Fine Arts College (IFAC), now known as Miami International University of Art & Design, so many of her students have gone on to high-profile jobs and acclaim. She has been the most significant contributor and still is the rock of what Fashion Group International of South Florida has been and is today. The Miami Women’s Club Building Mrs. Charlene Parsons started as a Fashion Director at IFAC, which used to be located in the same building as the current home of The Miami Women’s Club where we will host this special brunch. Celebrating her legacy in this building is a full circle moment in Mrs. Parsons’s professional career and incredibly meaningful to many in the fashion community who walked through those halls and rooms with her. Fashion Group International The Fashion Group International is the leading global, non-profit, professional organization with over 5,000 members in the fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty, and home. FGI was founded in 1928 by a group of prominent women such as Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubinstein, and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who was group president for a while. Today, FGI is one of the most influential organizations in the industry.
