Join our fly-tying experts and learn how to tie some of the most effective flies for both salt- and freshwater. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings with Session 2 beginning January 25 and ending March 22, 2023. Each night we are offering a Beginner Class from 5-6:30pm followed by an Intermediate Class from 7-8:30pm. Please do not sign up for both. All materials provided. Free. WEEK 4 Beginner Griffith's Gnat. Created by George Griffith, a founding member of Trout Unlimited, the Griffith's Gnat can imitate a mating midge cluster or single adult midge depending on size. This fly is often tied in sizes 16-22. Fish it alone, as a dropper of a larger dry fly, low in the film or even swing it.
