If you're a professional who works in education, support services, mental health, & family advocacy in Southern California, Latinx Parenting cordially invites you to their 2nd Professionals Mixer! Our first Mixer was at Alta Baja Market in Downtown Santa Ana on Thursday, August 25, 2022! We are excited to continue this event more frequently to support the professional community in our local area. Location is TO BE ANNOUNCED. It will be local to the Santa Ana, CA area. This mixer is intended for professionals who are interested in working and partnering with us in different capacities. We offer culturally-responsive, healing-centered workshops and trainings and work closely with groups of professionals and the BIPOC communities they serve. During the mixer, you'll have the opportunity to network with other professionals and meet the Latinx ParenTEAM, so bring your business cards! We look forward to bumping elbows with you all! The Professionals Mixer is totally FREE to attend (except any parking fees nearby). Many people are unaware that apart from our thought provoking Instagram account and workshops hosted for the public, much of our work to #endchanclaculture and support intergenerational healing happens through our partnerships with organizations of all kinds. From community centered non-profits to Empolyee Resource Groups, school districts, etc. we are excited for the potential to work together. Latinx Parenting founder, Leslie Priscilla facilitates an evidence-based curriculum, in English or Spanish, to assist parents or professionals in strengthening their relationship and communication skills with their children in an engaging and interactive environment. Our classes are extremely hands-on which helps with building confidence and developing problem solving skills in parents and/or the professions working with parents, and therein, their children. We also offer additional resources to attendees and links to other programs and services in the community. We believe that reliable information, ongoing support, and access to resources are keys to helping families thrive, and we offer just that through our unique programs. Learn more about Leslie.
