The Federal Bar Association is excited to announce the first ever Tenth Circuit Rising Professionals Symposium! This year’s event will be in snowy Salt Lake City. Please join us on Friday, February 24 for an incredible evening of CLE programming, followed by a networking reception at the Federal Courthouse. For those wanting to combine some “ski” with their CLE, we even have discounted ski and snowboard passes at Snow Basin, a world class ski resort that hosted multiple events at the 2002 Winter Olympics! The FBA’s Rising Professionals Symposium series helps law students and lawyers elevate their careers and expand their networks. At this event, our speakers will convey valuable advice on making the most of your career opportunities while maintaining a healthy work/life balance. Our first keynote speaker will be the always inspiring and insightful Justice Paige Petersen of the Utah Supreme Court. We will then hear from two outstanding law students: Jennifer Kimball, a 3L at Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School, followed by Sam Meeker, a 3L at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law. Our concluding speaker will be Jeff Cohen, a nationally renowned entertainment lawyer from Los Angeles who played Chunk in the movie “The Goonies”! Friday CLE Programming and Reception: Date and Time: Friday, February 24, 2023 CLE Programming from 4pm – 6pm Networking Reception from 6pm – 7pm (drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served) Location: Salt Lake City Federal Courthouse Cost: $15 for law students, $40 for lawyers Saturday Option to Ski/Snowboard: Discounted passes available for $140 for a day pass at Snowbasin on Saturday, February 25, 2023 (normal price is $180)
