Join local to regional stakeholders invested in finding effective solutions that address availability, affordability, and acceptability issues focused on rural mental health.
Texas A&M University–Commerce Counseling Center and the Department of Health and Human Performance is convening a space for the stakeholders in our regional area to discuss the multiple issues regarding rural mental health. The focus areas of discussion will include barriers to mental health services, reducing stigma associated with seeking services, and preparedness for regional tragedies that impact mental health service demand. The format will include a keynote presentation, a subject matter panel discussion, and round table strategy sessions. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
