Hair Science Meets Curly is the best way I can describe myself as an artist. Hair color theory could be so many years ago for some of us, and as the years of evolution in our industry develop we sometimes forget what the fundamental basics to color really is. I’ve experienced many stylist around me be afraid of color corrections, but it really all goes back to the fundamentals of the law of color & hair science of what the chemicals are doing to the hair and why you would use specific products to achieve your end results. After 10 years of investing into education & being a brand educator for Wella Professionals I wanted to give back in every tip and trick I’ve learned & kept in my tool belt. To bring the confidence in attacking any color correction that sits in our chair. In DAY 1 in this collection I will refresh your brain of the WHY. Beginners or Veterans. We as artists can all do technique, create an art piece on hair but without understanding the why in how products work within the hair you are limiting yourself to your fullest potential. This is where hair science meets curly hair. You will be able to Identify the type of curl pattern, density, and texture of curls. As a curly hair human, I’ve always been afraid of hairstylists not knowing how to treat my hair because of what it looks like. More & More people are embracing their natural hair + embracing their individuality. I want the world to become more confident in understanding & be able to touch any and every type of hair.
