On Wednesday, March 29, representatives from towns across the Monadnock Region will share their experiences and aspirations about energy projects in their communities. The lunchtime event, presented by Clean Energy NH (CENH) and the Monadnock Sustainability Hub (MSH), and hosted by the Swanzey Energy Committee. One of the event facilitators, John Kondos, CENH’s Monadnock Energy Circuit Rider, will explain his role in providing support to municipalities and securing funds for energy projects. MSH will introduce Program Manager, Nora Hanke, and discuss how the Hub can assist with education on Community Power and other energy topics, be a resource for events and projects such as weatherization, electric school buses, and community solar. The Forum will provide:  A chance to share your town’s successes, lessons, and aspirations and learn what other towns are doing and aiming toward.Updates on Community Power programs and progress in the region, what’s happening in Concord at the legislature and the NH Public Utilities Commission (PUC), and a review of municipal energy savings opportunities.Specific opportunities to save energy dollars and cut carbon emissions. Such as: Benchmarking municipal energy use, Electric Police Cars, Solar siting, and funding opportunities through NHSaves, the Inflation Reduction Act, and other programs.REGISTRATION: Due to limited seating and the need to pre-order lunch, we ask for just one or two representatives from your community to attend. These individuals can in turn share the information with colleagues and neighbors. LUNCH: Sandwich/wrap-style lunches will be available. If you have specific dietary preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free, please make note of your preferences during the registration process.
