Join us for a 2.5 hour workshop "Mindful Art: Exploring the inner self." Participants will engage in a series of mindfulness exercises designed to help them connect with their inner selves, learn new ways to express emotions and thoughts, and reduce stress. The workshop will start with a guided meditation to help everyone get into a relaxed and centered state. Then, participants will be introduced to two different art techniques that allow them to express their inner thoughts and feelings, using art journaling, and found objects for metaphor writing. Throughout the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their inner experience and share their insights with the group if they chose.
Whether you're seasoned at mindfulness, or are learning about this for the first time this workshop is designed for you. No previous art experience required. You'll be guided by an experienced artist and certified mindfulness provider who will guide you through the exercises in a relaxed setting. All the materials you need will be provided, so all you need to bring is you and a willingness to learn and have fun!
