We are excited to recognize five Soroptimist Live Your Dream Award recipients at a very special luncheon, celebrating our 17th year of presenting these awards. Your presence and support are important to these deserving recipients and our club. The awards ceremony is an opportunity for us to honor women who have overcome obstacles in their lives. This year we are honored to have as our speaker, Chasta Hamilton, the Founder/ CEO of Stage Door Dance Productions and Founder/ President of the non-profit Girls Geared For Greatness. She’s also a best-selling author (Trash The Trophies and Handle the Horrible) and speaker (TEDx: You Weren’t Built to Break). The Soroptimist Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women program is our signature service project. The awards are designed to give women heads of households, who are the primary source of financial support for their families, the opportunity to achieve their career goals and live their dreams. “I would like to one day have my own scholarship opportunity for women who are caregivers have experienced homelessness, rape, or domestic abuse. There are no limitations in my life, and I no longer doubt my abilities or potential.
