The topic of this year's TEDxJohnsonCity is "rewriting the Appalachian narrative" - but what does that mean? Talks will relate to Appalachia, either directly or abstractly, and shine a light on what it is like growing up in this region, moving here, or just doing life here in general. Innovation, arts, storytelling, outdoor recreation, and so much more - our 10 diverse speakers are going to share their stories about what makes Appalachia unique, what is driving it forward, what it is about our community that is attracting new residents, and how we are going to rewrite the often negative story that is sometimes told of our community into one of resiliency, strength, opportunity, and growth.
