Waldorf School of New Orleans will host the 17th annual Starry Night fundraising event which benefits scholarships, teacher training, and various school programs. This year our Starry Night Affair will take place on Friday, March 31 at the Free People of Color Museum. The Adults Only night out will feature a live and silent auctions, raffles, carnival style games, prizes, live music bites and treats from Bayou Road neighborhood and much more. Come enjoy the sounds of Big Sam's Funky Nation. Join us at 6pm for the Patron Party which will feature an immersive museum tour, early access to the auction, welcome cocktails, and a sampling of Addis Ethiopian Kitchen's menu. The Main Party opens at 7pm and will feature sips and dinner-by-the-bite from Dat Nola Pie. Big Sam's Funky Nation is a funk and rock band that has elements of traditional jazz, contemporary jazz, acid jazz, dance, hard rock, and punk. The Waldorf School of New Orleans is one of 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide - the only one of its kind in Louisiana. WSNO has tremendous potential to impact not only our own students, but to serve as a model for child-centered, arts-based education in New Orleans.
